Torticollis-
Flat Spot

Torticollis can cause the head to be tilted to one side and turned to the opposite side, resulting in an uneven appearance of the neck and head.

Torticollis is almost-always accompanied with minimal to moderate flattening one side or baby's skull also called as Plagiocephaly.

Red Flags!

What to look for...

Symptoms and effects of torticollis may include:

  • Head tilting to one side.

  • Head rotation to the opposite side.

  • Limited range of motion in the neck.

These could lead to difficulty engaging on age specific functional milestones such as bringing hand to mouth, rolling (from tummy to back and vice versa) and eventually crawling and walking.
